March 5, 2017 Meeting Information

For March’s meeting we’ve got some cools stuff!  Marc is going to talk about his Apple HomeKit set up, Tom will talk about TripMode which can help control your Mac’s internet connection while running on a hostspot, Dave will demo Rogue Amoeba’s SoundSource and then for something a bit more hand-on, Tom is going to show everyone how to make their own ethernet cables – it’s not nearly a scary as it sounds!
We will also try to answer any other iOS/Mac-related questions as best as we can.

February 5, 2017 Meeting Information

For February’s meeting we are going to round-table Apple Watch apps, discuss Apple Notes and how it can replace Evernote, talk about the security implications for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and the new service, SetApp.com.
We will also try to answer any other iOS/Mac-related questions as best as we can.
The meeting takes place on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Patty Bolands, located at 101 Clarence Street.

January 8, 2017 Meeting Information

Special note: January’s meeting has been moved to the following  Sunday, January 8th to make things a bit easier for everyone.

As with tradition, Tom is going to talk about simple backup solutions including Time Machine as well as backing up iOS devices. David will showing how to clean up a used Mac and iOS devices properly before selling or giving them away.  Marc demonstrate how he uses Tap Forms.  Then, we’re going to round-table discuss routers and access points now that it appears that Apple has discontinued their Airports and Time Capsules (if rumours are true).

We will also try to answer any other iOS/Mac-related questions as best as we can.
