For March’s meeting will start with two Dropbox alternatives; Tom will show Sync and Ron will demo Copy. Then, a quick demo of the screenwriting app, Fade In, then Dave will show of Quicktime X, and
Tom will talk about Contacts.app. Lastly, we will discuss how to detect phishing attempts and prevent falling for them.
We will also try to answer any other iOS/Mac-related questions as best as we can.
The meeting takes place on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Patty Bolands, located at 101 Clarence Street.
For our second meeting of the year, we have plenty to cover! Pat will talk about setting up and using an Apple TV, Tom will talk about lending audiobooks, and Ondesoft AudioBook Converter. Dave will then demo Fluid, which makes web apps into “real Mac apps”, and will talk about two review site’s he’s found; thewirecutter.com and thesweethome.com. Then we’re doing a round table discussion about word processors. Lastly, Tom will talk about digging the pedometer information out of his iPod Nano to satiate his curiosity.
Then, as always, we’ll will also try to answer any other iOS/Mac-related questions as best as we can.
